For some time now as I surf the web each day, I have been gathering inspiring thoughts and collecting them.
Today, I want to share with you some of my favorite suggestions for living to the fullest each moment of every day.
I hope you read them slowly, ponder them in your heart, and then act on them in the best manner for you. You’ll be amazed at how your life will instantly begin to change. Enjoy the magic!
Spend time with people you love. Cherish family and friends. When we look back over our life, the things that usually stand out are times spent with loved ones, and the moments of connection with one another.
Be grateful. No matter where you are, express gratitude, knowing that what you focus on grows. If you’re going to create more of something, let it be gratitude.
If you’re not having fun, go do something that IS fun!!! Spend your time doing what you love and what brings joy into your life.
Pause. Breathe. Take time for yourself. Know that you matter and remember, you must first fill your own cup before you can give to others.
Let go of the past. Don’t waste another moment worrying about a bad one. Know that everything is perfect exactly as it is. Trust that there is a reason, even when you can’t see it.
Connect with Nature. Listen to the wind. Watch sunsets. Talk to a tree. Study a leaf. Taste the sweetness of a fresh apple. Play with a dog. Cherish the moon and the stars at night in the immenseness of our universe. In all things, find your connection to something far bigger than you.
Be positive. Realize you do have a choice, and choose to always be positive in your thoughts and your actions.
Create a vision. Write down 100 things you want to accomplish over the coming year and share it with someone you love. Create a vision board to keep your dreams alive!
Dream BIG! Dream big dreams and trust that you’re on the right path to make them happen. You deserve the very best in life- claim it!
Take baby steps and don’t give up! Keep moving in the right direction. Trust yourself and your abilities. Just because something didn’t yet work out as planned, doesn’t mean it won’t work out. There is always a way and you can’t lose unless you give up.
Listen to your inner voice. Many times, wisdom and the solution to our challenges come to us in silence.
Smile, but don’t just smile. Laugh! Really laugh! Relax, be playful and remember, life is meant to be fun!
Embrace all change. Resisting change is like trying to swim upstream. Instead, embrace it and go with the flow… life becomes so easy.
Expand your world beyond your neighborhood and city. Learn about other cultures from around the world, celebrate our differences and realize that we are all human and have much that is common ground.
Pass it on. Give. Share. Give away things you don’t need. Share love and resources with others, remembering that blessing flows more easily through a stream without a dam.
Love life! Do what you love and love what you do. Happiness comes from spending minutes, hours, even days, doing things that truly bring you joy.
Spread kindness. Connect with one another. Share a smile. Perform random acts of kindness. Choose love. Be love. In all things, love now.
Pay attention to serendipity. Live connected to something greater than yourself. Be open unto and into the possibility of abundance in life. Live with faith and hope as a part of your life instead of apart from them.
Exercise your mind and your body. We only grow old when we’re stagnant. Move and grow.
Be conscious of your thoughts. Know that your thoughts hold the immense power to create your reality now, tomorrow and in the future. So think good thoughts. Dream big dreams. Celebrate all the moments of your life.
Be YOU! You are so very beautiful; so let your true light shine. You definitely are an unlimited being with infinite potential. You have no limitations except those that you place on yourself.
Today, right now, you have the chance to begin anew… to create your reality. Embrace this moment. Be grateful for the opportunities presented. Truly celebrate every moment of your life. Each year is filled with over 500,000 minutes … and they’re all opportunities and waiting for you. Invest them well. Make each one of them count, and make 2020 .. and every year … the best year ever!
It was in the summer, many years ago … a handsome young Mexican and I had been enjoying a fabulous seafood dinner in one of my favorite restaurants in Zona Romantica in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
I had just met Luis the day before, and we had been telling each other all about ourselves over dinner … both of us trying to ‘impress’ the other with our stories.
There was a break in the conversation, and Luis gently said,
“So, Jim … Who are you?”
“Pardon…” I asked.
“Who are you … really? … What’s the purpose?”
I was dumbfounded. I had no idea what Luis was asking. I thought to myself, “Has he not been listening while I was telling him ‘all about me’?”
Maybe he was trying some sort of trick question on me, and I started getting upset, even angry. I asked him to explain his question … and it came back the very same.
“Who are you?”
Now remember, this was before I began my journey of self-discovery. His ‘real’ question had gone right over my head.
I was baffled at the question … and upset and really getting angry.
I chose to end the conversation then and there before I really lost my temper with his ‘stupid’ questions.
I excused myself from the table, paid the bill .. and left! … leaving Luis still sitting at the table … now equally dumbfounded by what had happened.
It was not my best night!
I had really enjoyed our earlier conversation, and was looking forward to getting to know Luis even more … now our new friendship was a disaster.
Later that night, I fussed over what had happened … I just couldn’t understand … “Why did he ask me that stupid question?” … “Why had I reacted so rudely and out-of-character to his question?”
I just wasn’t ‘into’ that kind of a question at that stage of my life.
But Luis’s question was an important catalyst that initiated my new journey of self-discovery and growth that propelled my life in a totally new direction … one of peace, love, happiness, freedom, abundance, health, and much more.
IMPORTANT Lesson: Usually when life throws something at you, that really pulls you down, there is an important lesson to be learned … I urge you to look carefully for it … and the ‘disaster’ will become an important ‘cross-road of change’ in your life!
So, … if I asked YOU right now …
WHO ARE YOU? … and WHAT’S YOUR PURPOSE?
… are you as clueless as I was? …
